Our Own Travel Plans Since we decided not to use a full service travel agency, we found that there are so many details to attend to, like, booking the hotel before we arrive, taking the time off from work .. and, ummm .. learning Mandarin! So in the meantime, I'll try to chronicle our pre-trip planning and foibles as best I can! Bear with us as we drone on about obtaining visas, figuring out how to pack for two for three weeks with one suitcase under 35 lbs!
